SABB ... a bad experience

2009-06-08 @ 19:39 in General

I have been a customer of SABB for three years.
The good thing about this bank, is that you can do almost all the transactions electronically,
even money deposit can be done through an ATM-like machine.

But still some transactions you have to do them the traditional way, which is a real pain in the ass with the services that suck in this bank.

My last experience was a month ago when I had to get a bank letter for the I-20 (it's just a balance inquiry).
This letter was to be presented to the american authorities to check the elligibility for a student visa.
Whereas other banks gave me a clean, neat, coloured, stamped letter... all what the people at SABB were willing to give me was a photocopied paper (not colored), badly written with spelling mistakes, not stamped and that I would not submit to my grandma. After arguing with the man in charge, he assured that this is the best they have and everybody is using this form successfully. So i had to accpet the fact and pay for it 25 Riyals.

Today, I find out this useless letter provided by SABB has been rejected by the american authorities adn it can not be considered a valid one... I lost one month for the application process and I hate to say that my future migtht be compromised because of the unprofessionalism of this bank.

Congratulations!
